First Book receives Kapnick Award
February 12, 2013 First Book-Collier County received the 2013 Harvey Kapnick Award from the Community Foundation of Collier County The award was presented to FBCC’s Chair and Co-founder, Joanne Wyss, by Kathleen Kapnick at the Foundation’s annual Celebration of Philanthropy luncheon. A “starfish” for a literary organization called First Book
STARFISH! In the past seven years it has given more than 350,000 books to pre-kindergarten through second-grade students in Head Start and Title I school programs.
