Books for Collier Kids awarded Naples Woman’s Club grant

Books for Collier Kids, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a steady stream of new books to children in low-income families throughout Collier County, was awarded a $3,000 grant from the Naples Woman’s Club.
Erika Aron accepted the Naples Woman’s Club check on behalf of Books for Collier Kids. The Naples Woman’s Club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the Naples area community through philanthropic activities and volunteer service. The Club’s 300 members host several educational and charitable events annually while promoting friendship among women. For details visit NaplesWomansClub.org.
Books for Collier Kids provides new books to children in-need, addressing one of the most important factors affecting literacy: access to books. Launched in 2005 as First Book-Collier County, BCK has distributed nearly 1.5 million new, high-quality, age-appropriate and personalized books to pre-K, kindergarten, first and second-grade students in need to enhance their literacy development.
