Sallie Williams has been selected as the 2014 Fundraising Executive of the Year for Collier County and will be honored with this award at the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Everglades Chapter National Philanthropy Day Celebration. The purpose of National Philanthropy Day is to recognize the great contributions of philanthropy—and those people active in the philanthropic community—to the enrichment of our world. It is celebrated all over the United States and Canada.
Elizabeth Morano, immediate past president of AFP Everglades, noted, “Ms. Williams’ years of success in fundraising in our community as well as her generosity in teaching others best practices in our profession truly impressed our Committee. We felt that her commitment to ethics and best practices in our profession should serve as a model for others to emulate in our community.”
Ms. Williams will accept this award at the National Philanthropy Day Celebration on November 13, 2014 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at The Sugden Auditorium in The Telford Education Center at Naples Community Hospital.
